I went to bed on Friday, May 15, and within 5 minutes, my water broke, one month early. The following afternoon (May 16) at 1:21 pm, Elizabeth Rose Hartley (Ellie) was born weighing 5 lbs 5 oz and 19 inches long. Greg took this picture just minutes after she was born.

Aunt Patty and cousin Clara came to visit Ellie at the hospital. Greg is trying hard to hold both girls. Clara is really interested in Ellie.
Clara wasn't too happy when she was told that she shouldn't touch Ellie.
This is my favorite photo of Ellie. She is strapped into her car seat ready to come home from the hospital. She looks tiny, except for the chubby checks, in her car seat.
